Technology during your stay

We recognise that it can be difficult to be physically present in the unit in the morning, due to other commitments. You will be offered access to a "virtual ward round" platform, that can be accessed from your phone or tablet, allowing you to join remotely and take part in your baby's daily review. Our team will discuss this with you and explain how it work.

vCreate is a Secure Video Messaging service that allows clinical teams in Neonatal Units to send video updates to parents for those times when they are unable to be with their child. The Nursing Staff will be able to set this up with you. We will ask you to sign a consent form to allow us to take and send videos of your baby – you will then need to register for a parent vCreate account.
