Useful courses for parents

Our colleagues in Occupational Therapy regularly run sessions for parents of children and young people who are experiencing difficulties processing sensory information. They also have excellent videos to explain sensory processing and the impact that it can have on behaviour.

Families may be able to access face to face parenting courses such as Incredible Years and Triple P.

These are provided in different ways across local authority areas and not every family will be eligible for them. Your health visitor can provide you with further information about what is available in your area
