Perth and Kinross

You may be referred to the Physiotherapy department following a review by a respiratory consultant.  The Physiotherapists will then make an appointment to see you in person.  If you require further appointments they may be able to offer a telephone appointment at this stage.

You will be assessed and given a treatment plan based on your symptoms.  It is important that you can identify when your respiratory condition is changing, so that you can get the appropriate treatment as early as possible. Your Physiotherapist will teach you how to recognise this, as well as some simple steps you can take to help yourself.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Perth and Kinross is provided in Perth Royal Infirmary.  If you are unable to access this, you may be suitable for a telephone supported programme.  In this case you are provided with the exercise programme to follow, with a weekly telephone call from the physiotherapist to check in and adjust the exercises.
