The Scottish Cutaneous Porphyria Service is accredited in accordance with the recognised International Standard ISO 15189 - demonstrating technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a medical laboratory quality management system (refer joint ISO-ILAC-IAF communiqué dated November 2021). Our scope of accreditation can be found on the UKAS website and with a link to our certificate of accreditation.
The Scottish Cutaneous Porphyria Service participates in porphyrin External Quality Assurance programmes provided by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and the International Porphyria Network (IPNET).
