Tayside Cancer Centre

The Tayside Cancer Centre delivers treatments for cancer to the population of Tayside and North Fife. The service sees over 2,400 new patients per year, treating all adult cancer types and aims to deliver high quality, compassionate and person-centred cancer care.

Treatments available include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted tablet therapies. The team works closely with other departments including radiology, pathology, surgery and palliative care.
The service is supported by a well-resourced local Maggie’s Centre, Community Macmillan nurses and Primary Care services. The service also works with cancer charities who support patients through their cancer journey.

The centre has close ties with the University of Dundee with a Professor of oncology and a dedicated cancer research facility - the Jacqui Wood Centre - based on the Ninewells Hospital site. The clinical trials centre, the Stefani Unit, has over 30 trials open at any one time. Tayside Cancer Centre also works with Dundee University Medical School, supporting the learning of medical students at all stages of their education.
