Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs)

All those working in HSCPs must be able to raise concerns about NHS services, and must have access to the support they need to do so, whoever their employer is. Any concerns about the delivery of NHS services must be handled in line with the requirements of the Standards, and anyone raising a concern through these Standards will have access to the INWO, whoever their employer is.

Across NHS Tayside, there are three HSCPs, in Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross.

How to raise a concern

NHS Tayside staff who are employed within the HSCPs should raise concerns through the NHS Scotland Whistleblowing Policy which is the National Whistleblowing Standards.

NHS Tayside has developed local guidance documents to support its staff in raising a whistleblowing concern and for managers responding to whistleblowing concerns and these are available here. These documents are based on a framework provided by the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer (INWO).

Where local authority employed staff have concerns about the delivery of NHS services within their local authority, they should raise this through their own employer's policy and this policy should reflect the provisions of the Standards if the concern is about NHS services.

Support

More details about the support and information options available to NHS Tayside staff who are employed within the Health and Social Care Partnerships can be accessed from the Support and Further Information page.

Information and links to the support that is available specifically to local authority staff who are employed within the HSCPs has still to be added.

Training

Training is available which provides more information about the National Whistleblowing Standards and the role of the INWO. Further details, including how to access the learning modules is available here.
